Melissa Ko Joins the Board of Directors of The Jeffrey Ahn, Jr. Fellowship

The Jeffrey Ahn, Jr. Fellowship is pleased to announce that Melissa Ko, a leading businesswoman and philanthropist, has joined the Fellowship's Board of Directors.

Melissa is the Managing Member of Covepoint Capital Advisors LLC and serves as the Chief Investment Officer of the Covepoint Emerging Markets Macro Fund.

Previously, she served as a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns & Co., where she founded the Fund in 2005. Melissa Ko has an extensive history as an Emerging Markets trader and investor going back to the early 1990s. Before joining Bear Stearns in 2002, she was a Partner at Blue Border Partners, an Emerging Markets Hedge Fund, from 2000 to 2002. Prior to joining Blue Border, Melissa was a Director with Deutsche Bank in charge of Emerging Markets Currencies Proprietary Trading and was the Head of the Latin American Currency Desk at Bankers Trust. Prior to her tenure at Bankers Trust, Melissa held trading positions at Citibank and Abn-Amro. Melissa received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.

She is a member of the MIT Corporation Development Committee and also serves on the boards at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church and the Metropolitan Opera.

In bringing her leadership experience and philanthropic vision to The Jeffrey Ahn, Jr. Fellowship, Melissa joins returning JAJF board members Priscilla Ahn and Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos.
